A Brooklyn man was killed Wednesday morning by a dumbbell-wielding love interest who became enraged by the elder’s sexual advances, police and law enforcement sources said.
Clifford Williams, 60, met the 21-year-old man in front of a Popeye’s fried chicken joint in Brooklyn in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The pair went back to the elder’s apartment on Willoughby Avenue near Marcus Garvey Boulevard in Bed-Stuy.
But when Williams flirted with his guest, the young man lost his temper — conking his host several times in the head with a low-weight dumbbell, a police source said.
A family member who was in the apartment called the police around 2 a.m. upon hearing a commotion and discovering Williams unconscious with the head injury.
The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where he was pronounced dead.
Charges are pending against the attacker, who was arrested at the scene.
