One lucky person has claimed the $315.3 million Powerball jackpot won from a ticket purchased at a New Jersey supermarket, state lottery officials announced.
The identity of the winner, a New Jersey resident, won’t be revealed until a 2 p.m. press conference at state Lottery headquarters in Trenton on Friday, officials said.
The golden ticket for the game’s May 19 drawing was sold at a ShopRite on South River Road in Hackensack. The ticket matched all five white balls and the Powerball to win the jackpot.
The winning numbers for the drawing were: 03, 06, 09, 17, and 56, while the Powerball was 25 and the Multiplier number was 3.
It was not immediately known whether the winner has opted for a one-time lump-sum payout or to take the earnings over time.
The jackpot – which has a cash value of $183 million — is the third largest New Jersey Powerball single-player win, according to officials.
In April, a New Jersey man claimed a $533 million Mega Millions jackpot.
The 47-year-old Vernon man, Richard Wahl – whose winning ticket remains the most valuable in New Jersey history – opted for a lump-sum payout of $324.6 million.
