State senator dodged ticket after parking at bus stop: witness

It’s the Golden handshake.

Brooklyn state Sen. Marty Golden brazenly parked his Cadillac in a bus stop — but drove away scot-free after giving a traffic agent his card and a fist bump, according to a witness.

“It’s absurd,” said the man, who spoke on the condition of anonymity but provided photos of the illicit parking job and glad-handing in Bay Ridge.

“This guy parked in a busy bus stop on 86th Street near Fourth Avenue while there was a lot of traffic. He clogged up the street with no regard and got caught, and then felt he could get away with it.”

The witness photographed the ex-cop’s Caddy parked in front of the transit hub on the afternoon of June 9.

Golden was standing in front of the vehicle carrying plastic shopping bags and chatting to a traffic enforcement agent for several minutes.

The pol dropped the names of several people he knew, handed the agent his business card to explain who he is, the witness said.

“After that, he fist-bumped her and went on his way without a ticket,” said the man.

The observer says he was particularly steamed by the sight because he was once ticketed for parking in a Bay Ridge bus stop, even though he was sitting in the car waiting for someone.

Rather than knock on his window and ask him to drive off, the traffic agent just scanned his registration before he could leave, he said.

City records don’t show any tickets for Golden’s Cadillac parking in bus stops this year — but they do show he’s racked up more than 40 car-related raps in the past five years for infractions including speeding and failing to feed the meter.

He’s successfully challenged some of the tickets — but coughed up $115 for parking at a Bay Ridge bus stop in July last year, the records show.

Neither Golden nor the NYPD returned requests for comment.
