Danny Duffy got the save.
A woman broke into the home of the Royals pitcher while he was away on Saturday, according to court documents obtained by KCTV in Kansas City. Duffy, through a notification on his surveillance system, watched the live footage of the intruder and alerted police.
The woman, Tabytha C. Yeary, was found by cops walking around in Duffy’s clothing and was later charged with second-degree burglary.
Yeary told the police she thought Duffy’s home was an Airbnb. She had a PlayStation 4 controller in her purse, and she told police she was engaged to Elon Musk but “it was not the same Elon Musk that we have seen.”
It’s been a rough year for Duffy away from home, too. In 16 games this season, the lefty is 3-7 with a 5.18 ERA.
