Baseball coach takes shirt, shoes off in wild ejection

Fireworks night? More like bark in the park.

A baseball coach in a wood-bat collegiate summer league game in Macon, Ga., on Tuesday took being ejected to a whole new level by taking off his shirt and shoes to protest the umpires’ decision-making.

The coach in the video appears to be Nick Flachowsky, whose brother Nolan posted about the ejection on Twitter.

The ejection came during the seventh-inning stretch after a batter for Flachowsky’s team, the Gastonia Grizzlies, struck out looking. Flachowsky had been arguing balls and strikes from the dugout the entire game, according to Macon resident Matt Thielke.

The Grizzlies, who are from North Carolina, lost the game to the Macon Bacon, 3-2, and sit third in the West Division of the Coastal Plain League.

There were, in fact, real fireworks in honor of Fourth of July after the game.
