That’s a wrap.
Film producer Bob Weinstein, 63 — the younger brother of embattled film exec Harvey Weinstein, 66 — has sold his duplex co-op at the Beresford for $20.5 million, the Real Deal reports. He bought it for $20 million in 2004.
The roughly 7,000-square-foot home hit the market on Sept. 5, 2017, StreetEasy shows — exactly one month before the New York Times published its bombshell exposé detailing decades of allegations of sexual misconduct against the elder Weinstein.
Located at 211 Central Park West on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the property initially asked $29.5 million before cutting its price to $26.5 million.
The listing images for Weinstein’s home show bare interiors. But the listing, represented by Deborah Grubman, David Adler and Paul Albano of the Corcoran Group, details the home’s moldings, original herringbone floors, a curved staircase that leads to the pad’s five bedrooms, woodburning fireplaces and two terraces. Additional features include views of Central Park and the city skyline.
This sale comes as part of an apparent property-unloading streak. In June, Weinstein sold his mansion in affluent Greenwich, Conn., for $17 million, a slight gain over the $16.4 million he spent for it in 2000. That roughly 13,000-square-foot property had been on and off the market since 2013.
Weinstein additionally sold a 6,608-square-foot Upper West Side townhouse at 39 W. 70th St. for an even $15 million in December 2017. Weinstein and ex-wife Annie Clayton bought the five-story home for that same price in 2009, records show.
