The moment a brazen gunman shoots a man in a stairwell

This is the moment a brazen thug opens fire in the stairwell of a Brooklyn building.

The shooter, wearing a blue bandanna, white T-shirt and black pants, can be seen lurking in a stairwell inside the building on Kings Highway near East 98th Street in Brownsville just before the 11:20 p.m. Tuesday attack, according to the footage, which cops released Thursday night.

He walks up behind the victim and pops off a few rounds, as several bystanders scatter.

The victim was shot in the back and grazed in the shoulder, cops said. He was taken to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police are still investigating the motive.
