A North Dakota mom faces charges after she allegedly lost her baby boy who was found dead in the woods, according to officials.
Maxine Lange, 25, was charged with manslaughter Wednesday in the death of her 4-month-old son, whose body was discovered near Woodworth, the Grand Forks Herald reported.
The mom told authorities that she didn’t have any memory from a four-day period earlier this month when her son disappeared.
Following a two-day search, authorities discovered the child dead Saturday in a weedy area near a slough.
She was arrested and booked at Stutsman County Correctional Center on charges of manslaughter and child neglect.
If convicted of the charges, Lange faces up to 15 years in prison.
