A man was slashed in the face Sunday afternoon by about a dozen people in Lower Manhattan, police said.
The victim, whose age was not immediately known, was in the area of South Street and Market Slip between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges around 5:30 p.m. Sunday when he was slashed by a group of 10 to 15 men, police said.
The crowd then ran west on Market Slip and is still at large.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It wasn’t immediately clear what, if anything, prompted the attack, police said.
