Two adorable dogs, five grown cats and three little kittens were abandoned in a sweltering SUV outside an animal rescue center in Manhattan this weekend — and were taken to safety by the center’s staff.
The animals were discovered by workers at Bideawee rescue center in a jeep on East 38th Street on Saturday morning, according to WABC-7.
The window of the car was left open and authorities believe someone might have put them there on purpose.
“The animals actually looked like they were in very good condition,” Bideawee president and CEO Leslie Granger told ABC.
It wasn’t clear on Monday who abandoned the animals.
