Four people were shot when bullets ripped through a fence into the yard of an outdoor party in Long Island, police said Sunday.
The victims were in the backyard of an apartment building on Dorlon Street in Hempstead around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, when they were hit by bullets fired from the yard of an adjacent home on Burnett Street, Nassau County Police said.
The shots passed through a solid PVC fence — striking two men, ages 38 and 43, and two women, 41- and 42-years-old, police said.
The men were taken to Nassau University Medical Center, while the women were transported to Winthrop Hospital. All were in stable condition, police said.
Police are still searching for suspects.
