How to stage your bedroom for the best sex of your life

A bedroom makeover is one of the easiest ways to give your sex life a boost, says intimacy coach Lia Holmgren. When she does boudoir makeovers for her clients, “I look for ways to make it sexy, cozy and personal,” she tells The Post. Steal her Top 3 tips for hotter chambers.

Find your color

New hues can make a big difference, Holmgren says. She recommends swapping white light bulbs for yellow- or orange-hued ones, which are “warm and cozy — you want to cuddle when you’re in that kind of light,” she says. As for sheets, she suggests skipping so-called “sexy” red — “It’s very outdated” — and opting instead for earth tones. “They’re comforting and grounding,” she says.

Use common scents

Using candles to set the mood? If they’re scented, make sure they actually smell good, Holmgren says. They shouldn’t be “too strong or fruity,” since those can take a couple out of the moment. In addition to adding more warm light, scents such as vanilla, eucalyptus or jasmine are just stimulating enough to create a pleasant atmosphere, she says.

Approach the bench

The best furniture you can have in your bedroom — aside from a bed — is a bench. “It can be great to help people discover new angles,” Holmgren says. She recommends placing one at the foot of your bed and using it to experiment.
