The Bake Show is headed to D.C.
Ron Baker is expected to sign with the Washington Wizards, according to an ESPN report.
The former Knicks reserve guard was made expendable last week after Allonzo Trier played his way into a full-time gig with the big club.
“Ron is a true professional and we thank him for all of his contributions during his time with the Knicks,” Knicks president Steve Mills said at the time of Baker’s release. “His dedication and passion for the game are unquestioned and have been truly appreciated by our fans and organization. We wish him all the best.”
In joining the Wizards, Baker will face off against his old team in London on Jan. 17.
A source told The Post’s Marc Berman that the Denver Nuggets had expressed interest in the player known in the locker room as “Ron Burgundy,” the main character in the “Anchorman” movies.
Known for his defensive grit, Baker had averaged just under 10 minutes and 1.3 points in 11 games this season, his third after going undrafted out of Wichita State.
