NYC has the least happy employees in the country

If you are just getting off the subway, this will confirm everything you are thinking: New York City has the least happy employees in the country.

According to a survey based on 87,000 “workplace reviews” from last year by an outfit called Kununu, our city came in last with a “happiness score” of just 3.53.

What’s the next-worst? Oakland, Calif., which I can understand since I’ve been to Oakland. Memphis is the third-worst, and Elvis and his impersonators would be upset.

Where do the most happy employees reside? According to this survey, they are in Miami (#1) and Los Angeles (#2). I don’t suppose this survey interviewed people when they were stuck in traffic.

New Yorkers, here’s the positive way to look at this survey. As the song says, “If I can make it there I’ll make it anywhere.” What’s so challenging about making it in a place where everyone is happy!?
