A mother of seven was identified Thursday as one of the five people killed when a crazed gunman opened fire inside a Florida bank.
Ana Piñon-Williams, 38, was working at the SunTrust bank near Tampa on Wednesday when Zephen Xaver stormed inside and forced her and four other women to lie down on the floor before shooting them in the back of the head, according to the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office.
“We will never forget Ana, she will forever live in our hearts and minds,” Piñon-Williams brother-in-law, Tim Williams, said at a press conference. “Her life was truly a light in this world, she made it a better place.”
The brother-in-law added: “We are determined to let Ana’s memory be marked by the life she lived, the people she loved, and the difference she made.”
Four additional people were killed, including Marisol Lopez, 55, and Cynthia Watson, 65.
The gunman’s ex-girlfriend said the Xaver was “fascinated with death” and had been threatening to kill people for a long time.
