Video shows dramatic moment NYPD cops tase gun-wielding man

Dramatic NYPD body cam footage shows cops take down a gun-wielding man in a Manhattan apartment building last month.

The altercation took place on Dec. 22 when cops from the 32nd Precinct entered an apartment in Harlem and quickly confronted the gunman in a hallway, according to police sources.

The video shows Juan Mendez, 29, holding the weapon by his side as the officers approach.

“What is that, man? What is that? Don’t f– with us, man?” a police officer says.

The cops then deploy a Taser on the suspect and he quickly drops to the ground. No one was seriously injured in the tense confrontation.

Mendez was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
