A woman was killed when a fire tore through her Queens house on Thursday night, authorities said.
The flames erupted at 47-year-old Maria Medina’s home on 148th Street near Reeves Avenue in Flushing at about 6 p.m., according to police.
About 100 firefighters extinguished the blaze a short time later, but inside they discovered Medina’s body, authorities said.
Fire marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire, and the Medical Examiner will determine Medina’s cause of death, cops said.
