Two members of a Queens-based drug crew called “Black Rain” were nabbed Wednesday for their participation in two 1992 murders — with prosecutors accusing them of killing a man who they thought had stolen from them, and another who was suspected of being a police informant.
The two suspects — Darin Hamilton, aka “Satch,” and Jerome Jones, aka “Sha” — were hit with a Brooklyn federal court indictment charging them with murder, narcotics trafficking and conspiracy.
Hamilton allegedly shot a man to death in June 1992 near one of their drug spots in South Ozone Park. He and Jones allegedly ordered the killing of another man just two months later.
Prosecutors said they “recruited and paid two members of Black Rain” to carry out the murder.
Hamilton and Jones are also accused of selling drugs under brand names — like “Black Rain” for heroin and “White Lightning” for cocaine.
