Creep says ‘sorry’ after groping woman in Chelsea deli: cops
A man grabbed a woman’s rear end in a Manhattan deli — and then apologized for groping her when she started yelling at him, police said.
The suspect went up to the 23-year-old woman while she was sitting on a bench in the Adam’s Market Place deli on 8th Avenue near 20th Street at about 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 14 and groped her, authorities said.
She then yelled at him and shoved him away, police said.
“I’m sorry,” cops said he told her as he held his hands up in the air.
Store workers grabbed the man and forced him out of the eatery, police said.
The suspect, who is still at large, was last seen wearing a white hooded sweater, a gray scarf, blue jeans and carrying a black backpack, authorities said.
