It appears NFL personnel are more concerned about the anatomy of prospects this year, rather than the players’ murder weapon of choice.
While Kentucky cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr. was asked to engage in a staring contest during his interview with the Seahawks at the NFL combine this past weekend, Texas product Kris Boyd was asked a more personal question.
“I have now heard an entry to the crazy-question question I’ve never heard before — this today from Texas CB Kris Boyd — ‘Do I have both of my testicles? And I was like yeah, I don’t know why you got to ask,'” ESPN’s Jeff Legwold tweeted Sunday.
It’s unclear which of the 32 teams pressed Boyd about the topic, but these insane questions pop up each year. Last year’s queries for potential pros ranged from Bitcoin knowledge to ISIS.
Former Giants cornerback Eli Apple was asked about his sexuality ahead of the 2016 draft.
“The Falcons coach, one of the coaches, was like, ‘So, do you like men?'” Apple said. “It was like the first thing he asked me. It was weird.”
