Ditch the green beer on St. Patrick’s Day for these tasty treats

New York restaurants are going beyond green beer to get into the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day this weekend, with green takes on both New York classics and traditional Irish fare. Check out the delicious treats in the celebratory hue, all available this weekend.

Ireland pride

Leave it to the creator of the infamous rainbow bagel to come up with a twist on New York’s favorite breakfast sandwich. Scott Rosillio, the Bagel Store’s resident bagel artist, has turned up the volume on the expected green-dyed bagel, with a green, orange and white twist — an ode to the Irish flag. Plus, the green cream cheese is flavored with Baileys ($4.15). Saturday and Sunday at the Bagel Store, 754 Metropolitan Ave., Williamsburg

Matcha mint chip

It’s a Middle East, North Atlantic mash-up in Nolita. The cool Mediterranean mecca, Dez (short for desert) has dedicated its soft serve of the month to the Emerald Isle. Try the matcha mint chip, topped with a halo of chocolate shavings ($8), anytime this month. Dez, 227 Mulberry St.

Savory donuts

Simmer Group

If you’re not quite ready for a haggis, start with these salty stuffed beignets. Co-owners of Mustang Harry’s, Irish brothers Ian and Niall Conroy have whipped up an authentic trio of treats. One order ($15) includes three donuts, one of each stuffed with corned beef, cabbage and potato, and Irish sausage. Mustang Harry’s, 352 Seventh Ave., at 30th Street.

Wild wings

Brother Jimmy's

Some prefer them super spicy, others with ranch, and certain people like them . . . green? The folks at Brother Jimmy’s in Murray Hill are betting on it. The green wings ($12 or $22) come with a whiskey-infused barbecue sauce, in either a basket or bucket. Saturday and Sunday at Brother Jimmy’s, 181 Lexington Ave., at 31st Street.

Green eggs and (s)ham(rock)

Lily Brown

Start St. Pat’s Day off right with this Dr. Suess-inspired breakfast ($12). Brooklyn revelers have the option to order this and brunch items, such as steak and eggs, or chicken and waffles all day. Stay after brekkie for specials such as green cider and “Luck of the Irish” ($9): a glass of Brooklyn Cider House cider and a shot of Jameson. Sunday at Brooklyn Cider House, 1100 Flushing Ave., Bushwick
