Winter is coming again — at least “Game of Thrones” fans will have something decent to listen to this time around.
A new album inspired by the epic HBO series — and featuring The Weeknd, SZA, Travis Scott, Joey Bada$$ and Muse’s Matthew Bellamy, among others — is being dropped by Columbia Records on April 26.
Available for pre-order now, “For the Throne: Music Inspired by Game of Thrones” marks the first time HBO has curated a series soundtrack with a major label featuring original songs.
Also on the track list: A$AP Rocky, Lil Peep and Ellie Goulding. Consequence of Sound reports that the album is being released in “11 different vinyl configurations: nine cover variants representing each house crest, one color variant with fire and ice-colored vinyl, and one standard.”
A source tells Pitchfork that the producers of “Game of Thrones” asked The Weeknd to record a “song for fans.” In turn, he recruited SZA and Travis Scott for the project. Rumors that it will be the first single are already running wild on Reddit and a Travis Scott fan page.
“GoT’s” eighth and final season premieres April 14.
