A Jaguar has been busted for going too fast.
Running back Leonard Fournette was arrested Thursday for failure to pay a speeding ticket, according to WJXT-TV in Jacksonville.
Fournette reportedly was picked up while driving with a suspended license and booked at 2:30 p.m. in Duval County before posting a $1,508 bond to earn his release. According to the report, Fournette was cited for going 12 mph over the speed limit and just never paid the ticket.
“The Jacksonville Jaguars are aware of the situation involving running back Leonard Fournette and are continuing to gather more information. No further comment will be provided at this time,” the team said in a statement to ESPN.
The 24-year-old Fournette, the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of LSU, rushed for 439 yards and five touchdowns in eight games for Jacksonville last season. He also was suspended for one game by the league for a fight with Buffalo linebacker Shaq Lawson on Nov. 25.
