Trump inspires new ‘museum’ by controversial artist

This exhibition, it’s going to be yuge!

Provocative New York artist Andres Serrano is showing off hundreds of examples of Donald Trump memorabilia in a new installation devoted to the businessman-turned-president called “The Game: All Things Trump.”

The 68-year-old behind the controversial “Piss Christ” portrait, depicting a crucifix submerged in his own urine, has gathered items as diverse as a $1,880 wedding cake favor from Trump’s 2005 marriage to Melania, and a blackjack table rescued from his now-defunct Atlantic City casino for the display in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.

Taking pride of place is The Post’s famous 1990 front page headlined “The Best Sex I Ever Had” after The Donald’s second wife, Marla Maples, boasted about his performance in the bedroom.

“My subject matter is very basic and I do work about sex, death, religion and race,” says Serrano about the exhibition, which opens Friday. “So it’s only natural I turn my attention to Trump.”

The artist — who describes the multimedia installation as a “portrait of a man painted with his own brushes” — spent the last year acquiring $100,000 worth of memorabilia from eBay, auctions and other sources.

They include security guard uniforms worn by staff at the Trump Taj Mahal casino, magazine covers, photos and merchandise from Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka and the short-lived airline Trump Shuttle.

There’s even a Trump deodorant and a Trump fragrance called “Success.”

Serrano has invited the commander-in-chief to visit the show but is yet to hear whether he’ll attend.

“I think he would be very proud of it,” he says. “All things start and end with Trump in the eyes of Donald Trump — but my work is always in the eye of the beholder, so others might see a different picture of Donald Trump than he sees.”

The artist — who insists he is “not a big voting person” but knows people who voted for Trump — is particularly fond of an 11-foot-tall revolving bar sign from the Trump Taj Mahal’s Ego Lounge with the letters E, G and O stacked on top of each other, as well as a Trump University diploma.

“We’ve all heard a lot about Trump University but I’d never seen a real diploma until I found one,” adds Serrano. “I came across it by accident.”

The two-story display at the former Lotus nightclub on West 14th Street is up through June 9.
