Corey Johnson falls off e-scooter, after voicing safety concerns

City Council Speaker Corey Johnson – who raised safety concerns about legalizing e-scooters in New York – tumbled face first Tuesday while cruising around on vacation on one of the vehicles in Mexico.

“First five minutes on a @limebike scooter in Mexico City and I face plant on a busy street!,” Johnson tweeted.

“Scraped, scratched, covered in black stains from the tar on the road but not injured! Now to the Museum of Anthropology!”

The Chelsea-based pol’s tweet came under a new handle, “Ser Brienne of Chelsea.”

It is in honor of a “Brienne of Tarth,” a fictional female character of HBO’s hit show “Game of Thrones,” who was knighted during last Sunday’s episode.

Both Johnson and Mayor Bill de Blasio have backed away from supporting pending Council bills to legalize e-scooters, saying the issue should be decided by state lawmakers.
