Lynette ‘Squeaky’ Fromme: I’m still in love with Charles Manson

Charles Manson still has her under his spell.

Devoted Manson follower Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme says she’s still head over heels for the late cult leader, nearly 50 years after members of his infamous “family” committed a series of murders at his behest.

“Was I in love with Charlie? Yeah, oh yeah, oh, I still am, still am. I don’t think you fall out of love,” she said on the ABC special “Manson Girls,” which aired Tuesday.

“I feel very honored to have met him, and I know how that sounds to people who think he’s the epitome of evil.”

Widely considered one of Manson’s most faithful followers, Fromme, now 70, never participated in the group’s grisly 1969 murders — though she did attempt to assassinate President Gerald Ford in 1975.

She was paroled in 2009 and moved to Marcy, NY, to live with her ex-con boyfriend.

Fromme and fellow follower Dianne Lake, who was also interviewed in the special, were both teenagers when they moved in with the Manson family.

“My father and I, we argued one night and he said, ‘Get out and don’t ever come back,'” Fromme recalled. “I hitchhiked to a place in Venice. … I thought maybe somebody would take me in … and here comes Charlie.”

Fromme said the demonic leader — who died in prison in 2017 at 83 — never forced her to do anything.

“He said, ‘I can’t make up your mind for you.’ That’s why I went with him. And he never did make up my mind for me,” she said.

“These stories that have come out about his ordering people to do things … [he] never ordered me.”

After the group’s arrest for the murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and others, Fromme remained faithful — even carving an “X” on her forehead during the trials, as did other followers.
