Pro-lifers broadcast ultrasound during Times Square protest

About 400 pro-lifers took to Times Square Saturday afternoon in a protest that included a 4D ultrasound broadcast on a big screen in the heart of the tourist hub.

“Alive from New York,” organized by the Christian group Focus on the Family, featured the short livestream, aired at 43rd Street and Broadway. It was filmed somewhere in the Big Apple, organizers said.

Lisa Young, 54, travelled from Wilmington, NC.

“The goal of coming here to New York is with the law that was recently passed here [and] for people to see an ultra sound that aren’t normally able to see one,” she said of New York’s recently passed Reproductive Health Act.

Steve Burdick, 33, of Syracuse, NY, said he wanted to attend the rally because “dogs have more rights than people do in New York State.”

“We came down to support,” added Julie Griego, 61, of Hudson Falls, NY. “They talk about the silent majority, so sometimes the majority can’t be silent. [We’re doing this] so they know we are the majority, not a minority.”
