When it comes to finding inspiration for their latest kids’ capsule, Laura and Kristopher Brock — the design duo behind the celeb-favorite Brock Collection — only have to look to their 4-year old. “Charlie totally has his own style,” Laura tells Threads. “Today he dressed himself in his little Wrangler jeans and little denim shirt and blue Patagonia and blue hat and shoes. He’s very into wearing all one color.” “I bought them a size too small so they’d be extra tight,” Kris admits of the jeans, “but instead they are super short,” he adds with a laugh.
Now the couple’s Brock Collection — worn by stars Emma Stone, Margot Robbie and Priyanka Chopra — is relaunching a high-end collection of floral jacquard mother-daughter looks with kiddie retailer Maisonette. Sweet pieces include a pink “Pollie” dress for mom ($2,050) and a girl’s “Pacquita” dress ($498), which are available for order by fall.
“When we approached the mommy-and-me thing, we wanted to create something the mom would actually want to wear,” says Laura. But she admits there might be an expiration date for daughters willing to match their moms, no matter how insanely stylish the outfits. “In the fifth grade, I was still wearing [precious French children’s brand] Bonpoint and I was like, ‘OK, that’s enough.’”
