2 subway slashings reported within hours of each other

Two slashings took place just hours apart from each other Saturday night, police said.

The first incident took place shortly before 9 p.m at the Franklin Street subway station in the staircase of the northbound 1-train, when a 55-year-old man was robbed and then slashed in the throat, cops said.

The victim was walking down the stairs of the Tribeca station when the unidentified suspect demanded money, police reported. The victim handed over $7 and two cell-phones, cops said.

After the interaction, the victim continued to walk down the stairs into the station where the suspect followed him, slashing him in the throat before fleeing, cops added. The victim was unable to give a description because he was intoxicated.

He was transported to New York-Presbyterian Hospital and is in stable condition.

Then, just before 11 p.m., at Columbus Circle and Central Park South, a 26-year-old man was slashed, cops said. The unidentified suspect, 31, and the victim –– who cops say knew each other –– got into a dispute just moments before the suspect slashed him in the right eye and the left arm with a Swiss Army knife, according to police sources.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition.
