Officials ID victims of fatal Marines motorcycle crash

Officials on Sunday identified the seven motorcyclists killed in a crash with a truck while on their way to a Marines-related bike meet in New Hampshire Friday night.

They were named as Michael Ferazzi, 62; Albert Mazza, 49; Daniel Pereira, 58; Joanne and Edward Corr, both 58 years old; Desma Oakes, 42; and Aaron Perry, 45.

Four of the deceased bikers — who were part of a motorcycle club for Marines — were from New Hampshire, two were from Massachusetts and one was from Rhode Island, officials said.

Three other riders, who weren’t publicly identified, were injured but survived.

The attorney general’s office said all of the victims died from blunt force trauma, when a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer rammed into them on US 2, a two-lane highway in rural Randolph Friday at around 6:30 p.m.

The pickup driver, identified as Volodoymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, walked away from the wreckage without any injuries.

It’s still unclear what caused the crash.

Zhukovskyy, who is an employee of a Springfield, Mass. company called Westfield Transport, hasn’t been charged.

A man who said he is Zhukovskyy’s dad said his son is cooperating with the investigation, but declined to comment further.
