A yellow taxi crashed into scaffolding near a Midtown intersection during Wednesday morning rush hour, authorities said.
The minivan careened into the scaffolding near West 43rd Street and Fifth Avenue when the taxi driver suffered an unspecified medical episode around 9:15 a.m., FDNY and NYPD spokespersons said.
Several videos posted to the Citizen app show the taxi on the sidewalk in front of Urban Outfitters, surrounded by emergency personnel.
One person was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center with minor injuries. No injuries to pedestrians were immediately reported, police said.
Medics and FDNY personnel were still on scene as of 9:45 a.m.
