The Giants aren’t the only team facing injury issues at receiver.
The Bengals saw star wideout A.J. Green get carted off the field with a left ankle sprain after going down while running a route at Saturday’s training camp practice, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Green could be seen punching the bench multiple times while talking to team doctors before being put in the cart. He later emerged with angle wrapped and walking on crutches.
“You don’t want to assume anything, but I think we’re going to be OK,” Bengals coach Zac Taylor told reporters.
The Giants have recently seen receivers Sterling Shepard and Corey Coleman suffer injuries in training camp and Golden Tate get a four-game PED suspension.
Green, who turns 31 on Wednesday, played just nine games last season because of a toe injury, and a hamstring issue limited him to 10 games in 2016. He made the Pro Bowl each of his first seven seasons.
