California high school students caught giving Nazi salute in video
A group of California high school students gave Nazi salutes and sang a Nazi marching song at an off-campus awards ceremony, according to reports and a video of the incident.
The students — who go to Pacifica High School in Garden Grove and play on the school’s water polo team — were recorded making the hateful salute at the ceremony in December, according to the local ABC affiliate.
No teachers, coaches or advisers were present during the display, according to the news station.
The students were also chanting a Nazi war song that Hitler played for German soldiers during WWII, the video shows.
The eight-second clip was posted to Snapchat by one of the boys after the ceremony. The clip’s time on the site expired and it’s since been taken down, according to ABC.
School administrators were made aware of the video months later, according to the report.
The school took “immediate action and addressed the situation with all students and families involved,” according to ABC.
