Video shows man gored to death at running of the bulls

A father of three was gored to death after he tripped and fell during a running of the bulls in Spain, according to a report.

The 59-year-old man, who was identified as Vicente Asensio Martínez, died Saturday at the festival known as Torico de la Cuerda as thrillseekers ran the streets of Chiva, local outlet El Diaro reported.

The fatal incident was caught in chilling footage that showed the bull charging at Martínez and other men in a doorway.

Martínez tripped as he tried to escape, leading the bull to impale him and drag him down the street.

He was gored twice in the abdomen and one time in one of his legs, local news outlet Levante reported.

Martínez transported to the hospital via ambulance but died en route, sources told local outlets.

A second victim was also injured by the bull in the same doorway where Martínez was cornered. The unidentified man was treated at the hospital and later released, according to Levante.

The Torico de la Cuerda is a three-day event that involves six bull races, which are a traditional part of summer festivals in the country.
