The most popular man on Tinder couldn’t find love on the app — instead he found it IRL.
Male model and trained pilot Stefan-Pierre Tomlin, 29, earned the title “Mr. Tinder” in 2017 after the app announced he’d gotten a record-breaking 14,600 matches in two years. But after five years of swiping — and matching with 20 women a day on average — the modern-day Casanova had to look up from his phone to find the one.
Tomlin met new girlfriend Natasha Boon, 27, the old-fashioned way: A mutual friend introduced them.
“When I first saw Natasha, she instantly reminded me of Marilyn Monroe,” the Londoner tells The Sun of the singer-songwriter and 2018 contestant on “The X Factor.”
“She wore a tight red dress, red lippy and her trendy blond hair was styled amazingly,” Tomlin says. “She knocked me off my feet and that rarely happens with me.”
The two were introduced and swapped numbers at a wrap party in a London nightclub this April and have been obsessed with each other since.
Still, Tomlin’s rep as a Tinder hunk was initially an issue for Boon, who admits she was quite confused when he showed up with a suitcase branded “Mr. Tinder” on their first date.
“At first, Stef’s nickname was weird for me because I didn’t understand why he would need to use an online dating app — he’s so handsome,” says the Camden native. “I do get a little jealous when I think about all the women he’s matched with, but I appreciate that a lot of people fancy him and I feel privileged to be with him.”
BTW: Boon has never used the dating apps.
“Virgo + Cancer Match,” she captioned a photo of the pair on her Instagram.
Tomlin is happy to be rid of his former swiping habit, complaining that the 15 dates and two relationships he got out of it were with women interested in his celebrity status over his true self.
He’s since been helping buddies find love off-app, too, and has reportedly introduced over 10 now-committed couples.
His app addiction may have gotten him some fame through appearances on a variety of dating shows and the release of his single “Swipe Right” earlier this year, but now Boon is all he can think about.
“I love the way Natasha is so patient and that she’s a great team player, she’s kind, importantly she understands my industry and work because she’s a signed singer and [has] been on national television,” he says. “We’d like to start making music together and vlogging, and if things continue to go well in the future we’d like to get engaged, buy a house and start a family together.”
