Teens plead not guilty in bloody assault of lesbian couple on bus

Four teenage boys accused of viciously attacking a lesbian couple when the pair refused to kiss on a London bus pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.

The group — who range in age from 15 to 17 — allegedly harassed Melania Geymonat, 28, and her girlfriend Christine Hannigan, 29, as the couple headed home from a date May 30.

The teen suspects sat behind the women on the top level of the double-decker bus around 2:15 a.m. and began asking lewd questions and making comments about the pair’s sexuality, prosecutor Arlene De Silva said in Highbury Corner Youth Court.

One of the women tried to “deflect” the obscene remarks — but the teens allegedly continued.

They asked the couple to “perform for them” and “tried to get the couple to kiss while calling them names,” De Silva said, according to The Sun.

The boys then began throwing coins at the couple — causing one of the women to snap.

“Throw another coin and see what happens,” one of the women told the boys, De Silva said.

A fight then erupted, and the boys fled.

The couple, meanwhile, were left covered in blood and taken to a hospital with injuries to their faces.

The group of two 17-year-olds, one 16-year-old and one 15-year-old all entered not guilty pleas to a charge of causing harassment by using threatening or abusive words or behavior, according to The Guardian.

The 16-year-old also admitted stealing Geymonat’s purse but denied grabbing her Google Pixel cellphone.

The 15-year-old pleaded not guilty to a charge that he stole Geymonat’s bank card. And one of the 17-year-olds also pleaded not guilty to weed possession.

Their next court date is Nov. 28.

The bus driver as well as the two women are expected to testify.
