Police were investigating shooting threats against US Rep. Nydia Velázquez on Wednesday, cops said.
Someone called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office in Washington on Friday and claimed he had a friend who was going to kill Velázquez — prompting Velázquez to file a report with police on Wednesday.
The caller said his friend “is going to shoot the congresswoman” but didn’t specify when, according to cops.
Authorities paid a visit to Velázquez’s Brooklyn office Wednesday and took a report for the threats, which were made on Aug. 16.
It was unclear why the threat was not immediately reported.
Reps for the New York lawmaker did not immediately comment on the incident.
