Former President Jimmy Carter reportedly plans to start building homes again for Habitat for Humanity — months after he underwent successful hip surgery.
Carter, 94, the oldest living former president, and his wife, Rosalynn, intend to help construct 21 new homes in Nashville, Tennessee, according to CNN.
Last May, Carter underwent hip surgery after he fell at his Plains, Georgia, home.
Even then, the Democrat was angling to resume his active lifestyle.
“President Carter said his main concern is that turkey season ends this week, and he has not reached his limit,” the Carter Center said in a statement at the time.
“He hopes the State of Georgia will allow him to roll over the unused limit to next year.”
The former first couple have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for the past 35 years.
