Andrew Luck’s stunning retirement has led the Colts to a quarterback scramble.
And that has apparently led them to Brock Osweiler.
The Colts hosted the journeyman signal-caller on a visit on Tuesday, ESPN reported. Jacoby Brissett is the starter now with Phillip Walker and Chad Kelly behind him on the depth chart.
The 28-year-old Osweiler has bounced around, spending time with the Broncos, Texans and Dolphins. He was selected by the Broncos in the second round of the 2012 draft out of Arizona State.
He started five games for Miami last year, throwing six touchdown passes and four interceptions. His best year was with the Texans in 2016, when he threw 15 touchdowns, 16 interceptions and threw for 2,957 yards.
Luck, battling myriad injuries, officially retired on Saturday at the age of 29. Word first spread of his plans during the Colts’ preseason game on Saturday.
