That’s Omar-e!
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) apparently still shares a home with husband Ahmed Hirsi even as she fends off allegations of an affair with a married member of her political team — and reports that she and Hirsi have split.
Although public records indicate that Omar and Hirsi took up separate residences after they and their three kids left the family home about five months ago, they were spotted at the same Minneapolis apartment building on Wednesday.
At the trendy Mill District building that property records list under Hirsi’s name, Omar pulled out of a garage in a Toyota Camry early Wednesday. An electronic directory at the building, which sits a stone’s throw from the Mississippi River, lists an “Omar, I.”
Hours later, Hirsi pulled up to the building in a BMW, repeating “No comment” when asked by The Post about his wife’s alleged dalliance.
The arrangement played out a month after a published report that Omar and Hirsi had called it quits — again. The pair wed in a religious ceremony in 2002, but split in 2008. From 2009 through 2011, Omar was married to her first legal husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
A year after that union dissolved, in 2012, Omar reconciled with Hirsi, with the pair legally marrying in 2018.
