Jamal Adams is appearing to take out his Jets frustration on social media.
The star safety has removed the Jets from his Twitter and Instagram bios and stopped following them on Instagram, SNY first noted. There is still hope, though, as Adams continues to follow the team on Twitter.
ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that Adams told her that he has never followed the Jets on social media. Though, that does not account for the change in bios.
This is Adams’ third season with the Jets, and the team is now 9-25 during his tenure after an 0-2 start to this campaign. Adams has lived up to expectations as the sixth pick in the 2017 draft, but the team has failed to put enough talent around him on either side of the football.
Adams was asked about the benching of top cornerback Trumaine Johnson following the Jets’ 23-3 loss to the Browns on Monday night.
“That’s not my place to comment. That the coaches’ place, and that’s my brother Trumaine’s place to talk about it,” Adams said of the surprise decision.
