President Trump said Tuesday that US Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh “has been just really devastated by the hurt that’s been caused to him” by sexual misconduct allegations.
“They’ve hurt that man and his family so badly,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he flew from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Mountain View, California, while campaigning.
“He has been hurt so badly, and it’s so unfair. He’s a good man. That wasn’t supposed to be in the cards,” Trump said of Kavanaugh, who is again being scrutinized in the press over decades-old sex accusations amid a new tome about him.
