Bride and groom arrested for wedding night brawl with cops

The bride wore a prison jumpsuit. And so did the groom.

A newlywed couple in Arizona spent their wedding night in handcuffs after allegedly getting into a brawl with police officers.

The scuffle began Saturday at around 9:30 p.m. when the bride, 30-year-old Ashley Jordan, tried to assault an employee at a local business in Prescott, Arizona, the Prescott Police Department said.

When cops approached her, her new hubby, Eric Cordova, 31, allegedly became aggressive, police said, according to the Arizona Republic.

As officers tried to restrain Cordova, he fell to the ground and other members of the wedding party rushed over, sparking a melee.

During the skirmish, the bride allegedly pushed and hit a cop in the face with her hand.

The couple were married earlier that day at the Groom Creek Schoolhouse in Prescott, in a celebration that was called from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., according to their wedding website.

They were booked into Yavapai County jail and on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, police said.

The bride’s cousin, Amos Puckett, 25, who was the officiant at the nuptials, was booked on charges of obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct.

Another man, Dustin Trout, 31, was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice.

A mugshot of Jordan shows the white, embroidered straps of her wedding dress. Meanwhile, the three men were all pictured wearing matching red shirts.

Another two men, who weren’t publicly identified, were cited for disorderly conduct and released.

Two officers sustained minor injuries, cops said.
