Mets fan says he was nearly blinded by T-shirt cannon

They’re breaking hearts and busting eyes.

A longtime Mets fan is suing the team after he was knocked unconscious by a T-shirt cannon which nearly blinded him when it socked him in the face, according to NBC News.

Alex Swanson was at Citi Field with his three sons on June 5 when he took the cotton torpedo to the face while standing near the railing of the Pepsi Porch in the right field, according to the lawsuit filed in the Queens Supreme Court.

The Long Island father says he suffered severe retina damage and was left nearly blind by the incident after the cannon was fired from just 20 feet away.

Swanson is now suing the Amazins and says he wants the tool used to blast shirts to fans banned.

It’s not the first time a fan has been injured by a T-shirt cannon.

A Houston woman is suing the Astros for more than $1 million after she said a cannon fired at a game “shattered” her finger at a game in July 2018.

The Astros are fighting the lawsuit which alleges the team acted negligently by firing the cannon at the woman at such close range, according to the Houston Chronicle.
