‘AOC is a Wack Job!’: Trump trades insults with Bronx Dem

President Trump, his son Donald Jr. and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez engaged in some Twitter crossfire on Thursday night, with the president calling the congresswoman a “Wack Job” and her responding that he’s “a criminal.”

The politics-as-usual online sniping kicked off when Trump retweeted a message from his son Donald Trump Jr., commenting on an apparently unhinged woman at an AOC town hall event in Queens Thursday night.

The woman was caught on video ranting about climate change, “We only have a few months left!” and “A Swedish professor is saying you know, eat dead people but that’s not fast enough. So I think your next campaign slogan has to be this: We Got To Start Eating Babies.”

It’s not clear if the woman was mentally ill or if her rant was some kind of stunt.

Donald Trump Jr. retweeted the viral clip, quipping, “Seems like a normal AOC supporter to me.”

President Trump then retweeted that message with this commentary: “AOC is a Wack Job!”

Ocasio-Cortez shot back minutes later, snarking: “better than being a criminal who betrays our country.”
