What do the Man in Black of “Westworld,” a former Evan Hansen and a recurring “Fargo” figure have in common?
Starting Nov. 5, they’ll all be in Broadway’s “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
Joining “Westworld” star Ed Harris’ Atticus Finch — taking over for the Tony-nominated Jeff Daniels — is Taylor Trensch, late of “Dear Evan Hansen,” as the Finch children’s friend Dill, a character inspired by “Mockingbird” writer Harper Lee’s lifelong buddy, Truman Capote. Russell Harvard, the acclaimed deaf actor who popped up in several seasons of TV’s “Fargo,” has been cast as the enigmatic Boo Radley.
Among the other familiar faces in the new ensemble is perennially active character actor M. Emmet Walsh (“Blade Runner,” “Blood Simple,” “A Time To Kill”) as the judge overseeing the trial that inflames a small Alabama town in 1934.
LisaGay Hamilton — star of “The Practice,” with runs on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “House of Cards” — will replace LaTanya Richardson Jackson as Calpurnia, the Finch family’s housekeeper who is now presented in fleshed-out form as Atticus’ conscience.
Aaron Sorkin’s “Mockingbird” continues to break records at the Shubert Theatre, with orchestra seats rising to $550.
