After four losses to start the season, there are more questions about the Redskins than answers, starting with the quarterback.
Head coach Jay Gruden didn’t offer much of a plan to the media on Wednesday, saying it remains unclear if rookie Dwayne Haskins, an injured Case Keenum or fellow veteran Colt McCoy will be under center for Sunday’s game against the Patriots.
“We don’t have one right now,” Gruden said on a conference call, according to For the Win. “I’m going to go out here at practice today. We have individual work we’re going to do. We want to see the health of the guys, first of all. See where Dwayne’s at. Then I’ll make a decision shortly.”
When asked if he made a decision, Gruden replied: “I don’t know yet. I might just wait until Sunday at 1 o’clock. Figure it out then.”
Gruden’s hot seat in Washington has never been warmer with his team off to an 0-4 start. In last week’s 24-3 loss to the Giants, Haskins, this year’s 15th overall pick out of Ohio State, made his NFL debut and threw for 107 yards with three interceptions.
