Sarah Ferguson has spoken about ex-husband Prince Andrew for the first time since the scandal exploded over his ties to pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein — suggesting that she still has the royal’s back.
The Duchess of York, 59, was asked by The Sun about how she was supporting the prince who has been repeatedly named in court documents in the Epstein sex scandal.
“I think the most important thing in life is familyhood,” the duchess told the paper of her ex, the father of her two daughters to whom she has remained close since their split in 1996.
Andrew has long been tied to Epstein, with the FBI reportedly investigating the connections since the pedophile’s suicide in a Manhattan lockup this summer.
Andrew has always emphatically denied claims of any wrongdoing, and last month admitted he “regretted” his friendship with Epstein.
Ferguson also had her ties to the perverted moneyman, borrowing $24,000 from him, a loan she admitted in 2011 was a “gigantic error of judgment.”
Ferguson also told The Sun at a charity event Tuesday night that there needs to be more “kindess” in the world.
“I think there’s not enough kindness and I think people should be much more supportive of young people now,” she said.
