President Trump’s 2020 campaign trolled the Biden camp on Wednesday by snapping up web addresses and social media accounts that bear the name of Biden’s Latino outreach effort.
The Trump campaign bought the web address “todosconbiden.com” and also set up a Twitter account with that handle after Biden announced on the campaign trail Wednesday that the phrase would be the slogan for his “national network of Latino supporters.”
The todosconbiden.com now leads to a landing page that shows a photo of Biden hanging his head superimposed on an image of tumbleweed on a dirt road.
“Oops, Joe forgot about Latinos,” is written in English and Spanish on the web page.
A link on the website then redirects users to the “Latinos for Trump,” homepage.
The Twitter account trolls Biden in a similar way, sending out videos and images of gaffs Biden made related to Hispanics.
“It is no surprise that Trump’s Campaign would resort to childish antics like this to take attention away from this President’s appalling record of separating families and using immigrants as scapegoats, fomenting hatred and white supremacy, and trying to take away health care from millions of Americans who need it,” a spokesperson for the Biden campaign told ABC News in a statement.
