Only two days left for the Dolphins’ fire sale — and another item just went off the self.
The Dolphins traded running back Kenyan Drake to the injury-riddled Cardinals on Monday for a conditional 2020 draft pick, one day ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline, ESPN.com reported.
The Cardinals are dealing with injuries to David Johnson and Chase Edmonds, meaning Alfred Morris and Zach Zenner were the only remaining healthy running backs. Now, they will add Drake to the backfield with a difficult matchup ahead on Thursday night against the 7-0 49ers.
Drake has 348 total yards this season split evenly between 47 rushes and 22 receptions for the tanking Dolphins. Miami has also traded away receiver Kenny Stills, offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil (both to the Texans) and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (Steelers).
The Dolphins are 0-6 ahead of Monday night’s matchup in Pittsburgh.
